A New Running Level!!

YES i made it to Purple Level On Nike! That means i reached 1500 miles of running so far!! That a flippin long way!!! If you want to challenge me on there let me know
Last night i had a 2800 yrd swim that took me about 1 hr 15 mins. Some extra time was needed to get my Nu Dolphin MP3 player working as it has been acting a bit funny lately. But i got it done! Another long swim done! Today is a rest day!!! Phew!! I walked 30 mins at lunch time as i wanted to get out in the fresh air (Yes my office is completely window less)
Last night i deleted about 10 of my old Podcasts to make room for some new ones!!! Yaaay! So get ready.
I am going to have some serious FOMO on Sunday (Fear of Missing Out) because it is the Paper Discovery Duathlon that i have done for 2 years in a row and i am not in it this year. Also there is a mountain bike race series starting called WORS here in Wisconsin and i promised i wouldn't get involved in too much stuff because of family and financial this year. But i am dying to do it!!
Tonight we are meant to get Storms and are a Tornado Warning. Would of been fun to run in that actually. I quite like the idea of running in a storm.

Iron Man Training Gears up

Well good news i lost another 2 pounds at WW this last week! Yaaaaay!
Training is really gearing up. Last night i ran for 2 hours. I kept my heart rate below 120 with my Polar watch and just kept on going and going.
Today i had to swim for 1 hr 15 mins front crawl all the way pretty much. I did walk at lunch break to Walmart and back which is about 50 mins and 3 miles to get sugar free Cappuccino and some popcorn.
Had Some AMAZING healthy Pizza tonight that my good wife made. You can get it a Papa Murphy's. It is called Mediterranean Herb Chicken Delight. Wow it was good. Made with Olive Oil. Mozzarella and Feta cheese. We worked out it was only 5 points a slice.

Tomorrow is rest day and then Sat i pretty much have to do an Olympic distance Triathlon by myself!

I am finally over my Sinus infection so i am feeling Much better!!!!!!

Checking in

I had an insane 10 days in Orlando for work. It was completely crazy busy but good. No more trips until mid may so i should be here a while.

Training is going OK but i have a horrible Sinus infection so i am forcing myself to get some much needed rest.
I been needing to record another Podcast but i am out of room on my FTP site. I have to pay extra to upgrade or start deleting old episodes. No feedback there yet.
Last night i went on a group ride. Which was about 20 miles long. It was very windy and i completely was over my head because of this sinus infection. I did go see the doctor at lunch time and got some meds for it so i hope the next few days i will be done.

Cycle Crazy!

I Love this Random picture i took a few weeks ago! I have a Boston just like this one. They are amazing dogs.

Well i have been hard at it. Training is going well. Last week was a swim focused week and i did a TON of swimming. 2500meters might not be much to most people but it is tons for me. 100 lengths of my pools seems to take forever. Thank goodness for my swimming MP3!

The weather got nice 50F so i did a ton of cycling over the weekend. Even more exciting i found a new group ride to go on. We meet on Monday night and did about 20 miles. My comp said 24 but i think it was more like 20. The pace was PERFECT for me. The group does Mondays and Wednesdays. Wednesdays is the crazy hardcore group that does 25mph and Mondays is the intermediate group that does 20mph on the flats. So Mondays are perfect for me. I love riding in a group and being able to draft. If you have never done it i would strongly recommend it!!! I finish work at 5pm so i had to bring my bike with me and get changed in the bathroom at work.

Weight Watchers went well to. I only lost 1 pound last week but i had lost 4.6 the week before so i was expecting not a huge loss. We are focusing on getting out there and exercising. One thing that stuck with me was the words 'NO EXCUSES' so many people have excuses for not exercising it is crazy. There is normally something you can do.

Oh think you have a good health reason not to do something? Look at Lance Armstrong, he had Testicular cancer, brain cancer and liver cancer at the same time and still came back to win the Tour DE France 5 times! Have you got a better excuse than that?

Well i am out of town for tonight in Chicago but i still got my 1 hour 15min run in. It can be done. Keep at it friend.
O and i am dying to hear from Bungus!! Bungus if you are out there April 4th has come and gone buddy!!!

No work today! Kinda

Well i am off work today. I had a big workout to do this morning so i got up at my regular time 4am! What was i thinking on my day off??! I got it done. A 30 min run followed by a 1 hour workout on the trainer and then a 30 min swim.

Then i went hiking in the woods with my wife for an hour. Later on i went back to those woods with my moutain bike and rode for 1.5 hours. What a blast i had!!! I have put some of the pictures i took on the ride for you viewing plesure:)!

This one is looking out on Lake Michigan

Here above is a cabin in the woods. It was orginally built in 1920 and it was restored in 2003. It is totally in the middle of nowhere.

This is the trail through the woods you can walk, run or cycle on. It goes on for about 6 miles.

A look out onto the beach again at the end of the trail. It is so quiet out there today. I only saw one other rider and no noise:) Except for the waves. Yep Lake Michigan has waves!!!
